Outlook2Siemens
This is a simple script to convert a csv file produced by MS-Outlook(C) to a vcard format scmxx (a nice program by Hendrik Sattler) can process.For help look into the comments at the beginning of the file!
Outlook itself doesn't produce suitable output for Outlook2Siemens, for converting this file look into the comments again!
At the moment, only entries used by Nokia mobiles are converted.
System requirements
- Perl
- scmxx
- enough space to hold the vcard files
- a working connection to your Siemens mobile
Usage
After creating the csv file, simply type./outlook2siemens.pl
file_to_convert.csvand you'll get the vcf files in this directory.
Propably you have to adjust the path where Perl can be found in the first line of the file (
which perl is your friend).Bugs/ToDos
- Not all entries are converted.
- The name must be in the form of: "Doe, John"
- Calendar entries are not processed
- Only tested with German version of Outlook and a S45.
- Different mobiles seem to use a different header/date in
the vcard file and discard vcards with "false" headers, so doublecheck
if that's the problem! Adjust the file accordingly.
